HONEYBEE HYPOTHESIS

Hypothesis # 1

Improve the FIRE RESISTANCE of most PIR Foams by replacing TCPP, TEP or TOP additives without sacrificing performance.

Problem Hypothesis #1

Across the Rigid foam industry, a problem is the use of halogenated and non-halogenated flame-retardants to enhance FR ability (TCPP, TEP, TOP, etc). Flame-retardants typically degrade other properties of PIR foam and are considered hazardous to health and leads to toxicity. A FR PIR board typically has inferior insulating properties when compared to a non-FR PIR board.

Hypothesis # 2

Improve the R-Value at low temperature of most PIR Foams, as a result of adding HoneyBee

Problem Hypothesis #2

Across the Rigid foam industry, one of the most important variables to compete is the R-Value, the higher the better especially at low temperatures. Other manufacturers try to solve this problem by adding other materials like glass wool.

Welcome to Honey Bee Reactive Modifiers

Honey Bee™ Reactive Modifiers enhance your high-performance polyurethanes. Their unique molecular structure enhances visco properties, adding strength and flexibility. Unlike most natural oil products, Honey Bee™ reacts like conventional EO capped products, without the EO.
